This small, yet important section of Cut Strings of Fate, is dedicated to hide, one of the great guitarists of X-Japan, and the star of his own solo project.
Background: hide was born in Yokosuka. In school, hide was rather chubby, and picked on by the other children. His first musical influence, was KISS. Before joining X-Japan, he went to school to become a hair-stylist, but then one day Yoshiki called him up asking if he wanted to join the band he and Toshi were starting up.

Personality: hide was a sight to see. Always happy, bouncy, cheerful, and literally, insane. He was sometimes like a little brother to Yoshiki and the other members, and other times, like an older brother. He had wild, long bright pink hair, and was never afraid to be different.

Death: There are many variations on his death. The most common, was that he was out late drinking with his friends, and his room-mate brought him to bed. Checking on him later, she found that he was in a sitting position, against his bathroom door. A towel, ripped length-wise, was tied around his neck, and then to the door knob-- he had hung himself. No one is quite sure if it was because he was too drunk, or not. He was rushed to the hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival, at 8:52 AM on May 2nd at only 33 years old.
hide was an amazing person; a legend who could hold his own, and a person brimming with talent. He had touched the hearts of so many with his power guitar lines, and deep lyrics. But hide wasn't just a rockstar, he the THE rockstar. No one will ever be quite like hide, though I'm sure people will try. He will forever live on in our hearts, and his songs and treasured videos will never be forgotten. He was the kind of person this world needed. hide, please stay free your misery.
